Article I
Foundation

The League is established as the sole international body sanctioning competition in elite interpersonal friendship. Its authority derives from continuous operation since 2017 and from no other source.

Article II
The disciplines

Competition is contested across Availability, Loyalty, Comedic Aggression, and Emergency Response. Twelve points are available in each discipline per season. No discipline may be substituted or waived.

Article III
The championship

The title is awarded annually at the Annual General Meeting upon ratification of the final standings. The title is not vacated between seasons; the holder remains champion until a successor is ratified.

Article IV
Eligibility — the Two‑Man Clause

A competing entry shall consist of exactly two persons whose friendship predates the application by not less than five years. Entries of one, three, or more persons are inadmissible. This Article has been invoked eleven times and upheld on each occasion.

Governance

How the League is run.

The League is administered by a Sanctioning Committee of five, of whom two compete and three do not. The competing members hold no vote on matters of eligibility, ratification, or discipline — a separation introduced by amendment in 2019 following the eligibility challenge of that season.

The Committee meets once annually to ratify the final standings, hear any entries received, and record the minutes. Minutes are retained in the league record and have been kept without interruption since foundation.
